WHAT: Jurassic Library - Public Libraries in the 21st Century: Dinosaur or Dynamo?

WHEN: Thursday, November 10, 2011 from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m.

WHERE: Smith Memorial Student Union (SMSU) Cascade Room 236

Join us for a talk by Sue Banks, Central Library Director. In the age of the Internet, the validity and the relevance of libraries in general, and public libraries in particular, are called into question.

At the same time public library use has been growing consistently over the past decade.  What do those conflicting viewpoints mean to library users and workers? We’ll talk about some of the issues at work in that question.
