A Forum on Teaching & Learning in the Age of Media

On October 28th Dr. N. Katherine Hayles, Professor of Literature at Duke University, will present the keynote speech, Deep and Hyper Attention: Implications for Teachers at the Forum on Teaching & Learning in the Age of Media. The event will be held in Smith Memorial Student Union room 228 at Portland State University. Continental breakfast begins at 8:30 followed by Dr. Hayle's presentation at 9:00. A short question and answer session will follow. At 10:30 there will be a panel discussion featuring John Olmsted, a clinical psychologist, Ron Narode from the PSU Graduate School of Education, Laurel Kash, Director of Special Education for the Rainier School District, and David Wood, Assistant Curriculum Director for Portland Public Schools.
