Title: Factors that Shape Curricular Reasoning

Abstract: Curriculum development and implementation are the daily work of faculty. This talk introduces perspectives on curriculum from
higher education research and presents findings from an empirical study of community college faculty engaged in reform of college
algebra that demonstrates key influences and pressing issues that shape curricular reasoning.
