Espionage in Manila: The True Story of an Oregon Heroine

WHAT: Learn fascinating details of Claire Phillips, a real life heroine from Oregon.  Sig Unander is currently working on a documentary on the life of this amazing woman. Sig holds a bachelors degree in Political Science from Pacific University and has done graduate work in International Relations/Latin-American Studies at Portland State University.
 
A professional communicator, writer and public speaker Sig worked in broadcast and print journalism in New Mexico, Minnesota, Georgia, and Oregon. He helped launch the annual Rose Festival Airshow and directed communications for a Portland aerospace firm. He founded Air Art Northwest, a publisher of historical fine artwork and helped develop Latino Perspective, a business magazine for Hispanic professionals. More recently he served as Director of Public Relations for Latin Media Northwest. He currently is Project Development Director with Eravision, a Latino-owned film production company specializing in documentary films and multicultural productions. A fluent Spanish speaker, Sig is active in the Latino and minority communities; he is currently helping the Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce with Latino business development and outreach and organizing its annual Festival Latino.
