Determinants of Cross-Organizational Sofware Project Success presented by And Ozbay, ETM PhD Student
Description: We use software products daily either as a product in itself or as an embedded component in hardware products. Large amounts of resources are allocated for software development worldwide. Cross organizational efforts (outsourcing, joint development, etc.) have been increasing in software development with the objective of producing better software products in a shorter time and with less resources. However, success rate with such projects has been low. This presentation is based on a dissertation proposal that suggests that using a project management framework that addresses cross organizational software development as a system may improve the success rate with such projects.
