Effective Food Activism with Isa Chandra Moskowitz
Sunday, December 28, 2008 - 2:00pm
Can a tomato be a revolutionary tool? No, we don't mean you should be throwing produce at police officers. The culinary activism workshop will give you practical tools and advice for changing the world one sandwich at a time.

Whether you are a vegan wanting to force feed tofu to your grandma or a foodie wondering how you can put your skills and knowledge to good use, this is the place to be. This event is free and open to the public! We encourage vegans/veg/veg-curious to come out and learn more about veganism and effective activism. Let Live will be having different speakers the last Sunday of every month in the same room at the same time.

Topics include:

Making food choices that are better for everything - the earth, animals, people
Getting vegan food out to the masses
Becoming empowered in the kitchen
Organize, it's the rest of your lives; bake sales, potlucks, fundraising
Everyday activism

When:
Friday, December 28th, 2008
Where:
Smith Memorial Student Union 2nd Floor, room 238
Time:
