Through vibrant, interactive discussion and engaging exercises, participants in this workshop session will begin to uncover their personal/professional values, interests, and skills leading to the discovery of meaningful ways to find life balance, forge a path of civic engagement, create encore careers, and set goals for an exceptional future.

Eve Connell: Eve is an educator, writer and community volunteer. She specializes in training individuals and groups in communications, writing, public speaking, and leadership. She facilitates group conversations that lead people to discover their skills, values, interests and passions. She is actively engaged in the Portland arts community.
David Rozell: Dave has dedicated the second half of his life to creating a different model of aging in the world – one that creates new opportunities and understanding for all ages. He is a professional retirement coach with clients throughout the U.S., and teaches a class on Intentional Aging at Marylhurst University, where he is an adjunct instructor in Gerontology. He leads retirement planning workshops and is an advisor to the Geezer Gallery in Portland.

Steven Joiner: Steven is a nationally-recognized workforce expert and author of the widely read Idealist Guide to Nonprofit Careers for Sector Switchers. He is co-founder of 21st Century Worklife, which helps individuals successfully navigate the new workplace landscape. Steven speaks at conferences, universities and businesses, and has been featured in the NY Times, Marketplace, Encore.org and many other media outlets.
