The Literary Arts Council presents "Craft Talk on Translation" by Simone Di Piero at PSU's Neuberger Hall (724 S.W. Harrison), room 407.

W. S. Di Piero is a poet, essayist, and translator. His most recent books of poems are Brother Fire (2004), The Dog Star (1990), The Restorers (1992), Shadows Burning (1995), and Skirts and Slacks (2001). His essays are collected in three volumesMemory and Enthusiasm: Essays 1975-1985 (1989), Out of Eden: Essays on Modern Art (1991), and Shooting the Works (1996). His translations include Leopardi's Pensieri (1984) and The Ellipse: Selected Poems of Leonardo Sinisgalli (1983). Di Piero serves as a consulting editor of Pequod and Southwest Review. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses on poetry writing and modern British poetry.
