Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the Black Studies Department.

Come and learn about the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. National Memorial through the eyes of Harry E. Johnson, Sr., the President and CEO of the Washington, D.C. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. National Monument. Mr. Johnson will share his story about the many successes and challenges encountered on the road to completion of this project.

This event will be Mr. Johnson’s first speaking  engagement on the West coast since the unveiling of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. national monument. He will be sharing his experience to mark the Black Studies Department’s 40th Anniversary.

Hors d’oeuvres and wine reception immediately following. A replica of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. national monument will be on display during the reception.
