WHAT: Ardeth Fullmer will highlight some of the elements that led to the creation of this musical style using performance and historical references. Fullmer came from a musical family and started playing by ear around age 4. The first song she remembers playing was "Pistol Packin' Mama" ...with both hands. She had heard her mother playing it. That was 68 years ago. Fullmer graduated from PSU with a degree in Music, emphasis in piano performance in 1984. She has taught independently all of her adult life. Currently she is accompanist for the Westside Singers and the West Linn Community Chorus Ensemble.
