Background:
Jim Chatters has been working as an archaeologist in the Pacific Northwest for over 30 years and his research interests have ranged over a variety of topics, including human ecology, geomorphology, forensic anthropology, and paleoenvironmental reconstruction. He is the author of
numerous publications, and is perhaps best known for his work on the so-called Kennewick Man; his 2001 book, Ancient Encounters: Kennewick Man and the First Americans, reviews this important find.
