Wetlands 101 Workshop

Smith and Bybee Wetlands Natural Area, 5300 N. Marine Drive

A walking tour of this dynamic wetland area in the Columbia Slough Watershed will highlight wetland wildlife and habitats! Wetland Specialists from Metro and the City of Portland will explore local wetland history, land use change and development, current management, monitoring and restoration strategies. Light refreshments will be provided. If you have a canoe or kayak, bring it along – you can head out for an afternoon paddle of your own after the workshop. Bring your binoculars – there is sure to be great wildlife viewing! Space is limited and pre-registration is required.
