Starting in March, Multnomah County will be one of several communities across the country to feature the documentary Unnatural Causes: Is Inequality Making Us Sick in a series of public screenings. Unnatural Causes, a seven-part documentary, is shaking up our understanding of what really makes us healthy or sick. We invite you to join us in dialogues with community members, community-based organizations, civic and business leaders, and local elected officials, to discuss the root causes of health inequities as well as long-term solutions. Each screening will focus on a particular topic and feature a different section of the series, and refreshments will be served at all events. This dialogue will discuss:

Even though we spend the most money for health care than any other country, the United States ranks 29th in life expectancy. This is lower than industrialized nations who spend less.
