In celebration of International Education Week, the Education Abroad Office is offering an workshop for PSU students, staff, and faculty who have an interest in learning how to better articulate their stories from abroad!
When: Thursday, November 14, 2013 in East Hall room 108 (PSU Campus)
When: 1:00 - 2:00 PM
Workshop Description: Expressing the power of an experience abroad in a succinct manner is challenging, especially when you have much to share and many types of relationships with people at home. The purpose of this workshop is to develop and practice an international “elevator speech” or “soundbite” that will serve to maximize meaningful dialogue about the experience.
Summarized Outline: This workshop will provide an introduction to re-entry and address the challenges of re-entry as well as coping strategies that engage reflective and active processes. Through guided reflection and group dialogue, participants will learn to identify meaningful experiences abroad, and articulate and share them with various audiences.
