Charla Mathwick, Business Administration faculty, participated in a Social Media Summit in Munich, Germany, Sept. 19-21. The summit was co-sponsored by the University of Munster, Roland Berger Strategy Consultants of Germany, and the Journal of Interactive Marketing. It involved 20 academic researchers from around the world who were identified as thought leaders in the area of social media. They worked on a special 2013 issue of the Journal of Interactive Marketing that will highlight research insights related to social media adoption and evolution over the past decade and set the social media research agenda for the next 10 years. Mathwick is currently working with a team of researchers from the U.S. and Germany to develop a manuscript related to consumer behavior and social media adoption.
