Profile: Meet Professor Tom Chenoweth

What does a bridge have to do with educational leadership? Ask Dr. Tom Chenoweth, PhD,a scholar and educational leader committed to building bridges between the university and school practitioners.

Tom Chenoweth, PhD, is a professor in the Department of Educational Policy, Foundations and Administrative Studies at Portland State University. He received his doctorate from Stanford University. A former public school teacher and principal, his primary interests lie in the areas of school change and leadership. He provides technical assistance and training to schools and school districts involved in comprehensive school change. He currently teaches in the administrative licensure and doctoral programs, and he is a member of the Multnomah County Leaders Roundtable task force on high school reform.
