Graduate School of Education Scholarships

For the 2008-2009 Academic Year*

The Graduate School of Education (GSE) invites all students who are admitted or who have been offered admittance and will be enrolled in the GSE by Fall term 2008 to apply for scholarships for the 2008-2009 academic year.

Please note that the application process for most GSE scholarships is an online application, available November 16, 2007. Unless otherwise noted or you are notified within a specific program, all GSE Scholarships must be applied for online. You may use this page for general information, but please follow online application instructions. After studying the information, if you have questions that you feel are not addressed in the application process, you may email Julie Thompson at julit@pdx.edu.

To start your application, visit the scholarship website. This will connect you to the online application process called Scholar X. Log in as a first time student if you haven't logged in before. You will see these sections which pertain to GSE students:

1. PSU Graduate Scholarship Application (mandatory for all applicants)
   
2. PSU Office of Graduate Studies Application
   
3. Graduate School of Education Application: Note that a few GSE scholarships may have an additional essay question and that your transcripts will need to be sent separately per instructions in the application.

*Please note that new scholarships may be added and scholarships are subject to change. Although most scholarships are awarded from the April application deadline, a few scholarships are offered on a different timetable. Check back periodically for updates.

• Robert Noyce Scholarship - a partnership for Science Teacher Preparation offered by the Graduate School of Education, the Center for Science Education and the Beaverton School District.
• National Honorary and Professional Association in Education Scholarship from the Portland Metropolitan Chapter of Pi Lambda Theta (for people in elementary or secondary education who are student teaching during 2007-8)
  
• The GSE Student Assistance Award is for students with financial need in certain GSE programs.
