Graduate School of Education Partnerships
GSE faculty and students also work in partnership with other universities and community agencies to provide programs and resources that help serve our community needs. Examples of these partnerships are the Kiwanis Camp for children, youth and adults with varying disabilities, CLRAS, and Project SELF.
Extended Career & Life Role Assessment System
Portland State University developed the Extended Career and Life Role Assessment System (Extended CLRAS) to implement a functional assessment approach appropriate for students with moderate to severe disabilities. Extended CLRAS extends assessment of student functioning in content areas that match the Career and Life Role education standards of the Common Curriculum Goals (CCG).

Research Center on Inclusive & Effective Educational Practices
The Research Center on Inclusive and Effective Educational Practices (RCIEP) works to expand externally funded research of faculty in the Department of Special Education and Counselor Education in the Graduate School of Education. The RCIEP is one of several projects funded, initially, by the Portland State University Office of Research and Sponsored Projects to expand externally funded research in departments with strong external funding records and potential for research expansion.
