Many people think that Alumni Association's only becomes relevant after they graduate,
however the PSU Alumni Association offers services to current students—even freshmen. Enhancing
services already offered from places like Advising and Career Services, the PSU Alumni
Association connects students to other alumni who are already working in the companies they
may want to work for, holds annual networking events like the student etiquette dinner, and are
a another great resource for everything from career and internship opportunities to courses of
Portland State students are part of a huge community—as the largest University in Oregon, PSU
boasts over 130,000 alums—and the PSU Alumni Association is your ticket in! You can connect

only section of the website is currently being built, and a Student Advisory Board has been formed to
ensure the Alumni Association addresses the needs of current students—our future alumni!
Students and their families are urged to visit the PSU Alumni Association, located in the historic
Simon Benson House on the Park Blocks, at any stage of their academic career. No matter where
your journeys take you, the PSU Alumni Association will always be your home on campus.
The PSU Alumni Association is hosting an upcoming professional development event especially
for current PSU students on May 18th called "Preparing Yourself for the Real World". In this
free one day event hear from Portland State Alumni and other experts on how to write a great
resume, dress for success, network, and navigate things like employee benefits and insurance.
Featuring workshops, information tables, and a closing reception, all students are encouraged to
connect and start preparing for the real world.
