Mission: the Multicultural Center (MCC) at Portland State University explores our intersectional identities and seeks to develop cultural competency through student engagement, programming, and meaningful dialogue.

History

The Multicultural Center started as an idea by a group of Portland State University students proposed in 1991. The MCC has existed in various forms since 1992, and with its current location at Smith Memorial Student Union (SMSU) 228, it marks over 15 years of service to the campus community.

The Multicultural Center (MCC) provides a forum for collaborative cultural, educational, and social experiences at Portland State and beyond.
