About the series:
Antarctica’s ecological domains are, to a large extent, unexplored. Yet the region’s climate is changing and a growing body of evidence indicates that Antarctic organisms, ecosystems and biodiversity are responding. This lecture series bridges the many disciplines required to understand life and change in Antarctica: from the climate system, to the glaciers that mantle the continent and set the stage for simple yet resilient terrestrial ecosystems, to the polar ocean teeming with life.
