The campus community is invited to review and get involved in more than 50 student-initiated sustainability projects at a Student Sustainability Idea Generator event Thursday, Feb. 5, from noon to 2 p.m. in 328 Smith Union. Admission is free and open to the public.
Waste reduction, food systems, health and the environment, and public art as education are just some of the grant proposals from student-led teams that are now being considered for funding by the Center for Sustainable Processes and Practices, through the Miller Foundation Grant.
At the Student Sustainability Idea Generator, the PSU community will have an opportunity to learn more about the creative and diverse portfolio of student-initiated sustainability projects—and to get involved. Students will present their ideas, based on previously submitted grant proposals, in an informal gallery setting. Students, faculty, staff, and community members are encouraged to interact, exchange ideas, and build new partnerships around these projects.
