Colleagues honored for years of service

Academic priorities discussed at PSU symposium

Nearly 300 faculty and staff—more than twice the average number in previous years—attended the symposium, "Confirming Portland State's Leadership Position and Defining Academic Priorities," held by the Office of Academic Affairs on Jan. 12. Participants discussed the University's core leadership position of engagement and its four supporting academic priorities. read more >

Priority work groups accepting new members

Faculty and staff are invited to be part of the process to further the University's core leadership position of engagement. Initial working groups on the priorities are expanding membership this month through an online process moderated by the Faculty Senate. Interested campus members may apply. 2007 Urban Pioneers announced

Gretchen Kafoury, a Capstone instructor in the College of Urban and Public Affairs, will be among those honored by the college at its 2007 Urban Pioneer Awards dinner May 17. Gerding Edlen Development and The Portland Gay Men's Chorus will also receive awards. read more >

Financial Aid candidates on campus this week

The campus community is invited to meet Patty Hoban and Phillip Rodgers, finalists for the position of Director of Financial Aid, at afternoon open sessions. Hoban, director of Financial Aid at Willamette University, is scheduled Tuesday from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Rodgers, interim director of PSU Student Financial Aid, is available Wednesday from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Both sessions are in 333 Smith Union. read more >

Receive free training in CPR/AED

The Center for Student Health and Counseling is offering free CPR/AED (Automated External Defibrillator) classes for staff and faculty winter term.
