I have worked for the College of Urban & Public Affairs since 1996.

As Director of Special Events I manage all aspects of coordinating special events for the college, including: Volunteer recruitment and supervision; Underwriting/sponsorship; Site selection, Vendor contract negotiation and coordination; Ticket sales; Catering; Graphics & invitations, Mailing lists; Reservations/attendance; Publicity and coordinating with University public relations staff; Volunteer and sponsor recognition. Assisting the Director of External Relations with building and enhancing relationships with Urban & Public Affairs major constituencies, donor relations and stewardship activities the encourage private support, and raising funds through special events.

As the Ph.D. Admissions Officer I disseminate information to interested applicants for the two Ph.D. programs in the College. I advise prospective applicants about the doctoral programs and the admissions process, and facilitate the Ph.D. Admissions committee meetings. I also Administer the Oregon Laurels tuition remission award program, the Maurie Clark Fellowship award, the UPA Memorial Scholarship award, and the awarding of Graduate Research Assistantships to Ph.D. students.
