Profile: Master of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice

The Division of Criminology and Criminal Justice offers a program in which graduate students are expected to develop the analytical and creative skills required for original scholarship, research, and problem solving, as well as a thorough understanding of the academic discipline.

The program provides a high degree of flexibility and allows students to tailor the program to match their own research or career interests. Core courses address theoretical foundations of criminology and criminal justice, methodology, and criminal justice policy analysis.

Our eight full-time faculty members hold doctorates, have proven teaching ability, publish research in professional journals, and maintain contacts throughout the regional, national, and international criminology and criminal justice community. Faculty members in the division actively engage in community scholarship, often in conjunction with the Criminal Justice Policy Research Institute (CJPRI).
