Catherine Lawson, MS '95, MURP '97, PhD '98, has recently been appointed Chair of the Geography and Planning Department at the University of Albany. She continues to stay involved with the Transportation Research Board.
Danny Ly, BS '01, MPA '03, is living in Washington, D.C. where she was recently hired at Becton, Dickinson & Co as their Associate Director for Public Policy and Government Affairs.
Zak Boone, MPA ’03, is now the Associate Director of the Deschutes Land Trust which is Oregon’s only locally based and nationally accredited land trust and cares for over 8,200 acres of protected lands. He oversees the Land Trust’s many external relations endeavors, including events, fundraising, membership, marketing and general outreach.
Robyn Pierce, MPA '06, was recently elected Vice President for Professional Development by APPA, Association of Physical Plant Administrators of Universities and Colleges. She will expand and manage the programs that provide members with professional career development and personal growth needed to compete and collaborate effectively in today's environment.
Emily Watson, MPA '08, recently finished her service in the Peace Corps. She was stationed in Sokal, Ukraine.
Maya Hooper, B.A. '09, is working with White Salmon, Washington company Insitu as Sustainability Coordinator. Maya is continuing her education through the University of Oregon's Sustainability Leadership Program, and will complete Willamette University’s Sustainable Enterprise Certificate Program this month.
Katie Harris, MPH '10, is the Associate Director of Program Management for the Oregon Association of Hospitals and Health Systems.
Sadie Carney, MURP '11, was appointed by the State of Oregon Land Confirmation and Development Commission as a member-at-large of the Citizen Involvement Action Committee. Sadie is also working with a Portland State Research team on a National Science Foundation project.
Michael Webb, BS '11, was hired at the Gresham Police Department as an Officer and begins training at the academy in July.
Andrew Parish, MURP '12, works as a project coordinator for New Seasons Market. He also is a consultant for ZRZ Realty and an assistant planner at Portland State University Planning Sustainability.
