Todd moved to Portland nine years ago. He spent the first four years as a professional kayaker and retail store manager. When PSU hired its first Outdoor Program Coordinator in 2002, he was able to capitalize on 15 years of working in the outdoor industry as well as experience from four other university outdoor programs. Todd coordinated the award winning Outdoor Program for five years before being promoted to Assistant Director of Operations and Student Development. He is enjoying the change from outdoor recreation to indoor recreation.

Todd has a bachelor's degree in Commercial Recreation; he aspired to work for Disney World until he discovered the Outdoor Program at Illinois State University. He also has a Masters of Education in Recreation Resource Administration from Southern Illinois University. He lives with in North East Portland with his wife Laura and their dog Sasha. He enjoys any outdoor activity (and a few indoor activities) that takes him to a place he has never been for.
