The American Public Health Association (APHA) is actively soliciting submissions for a special edition of their Student Assembly's newsletter, News & Views, and the deadline for submitting articles has recently been extended to June 6, 2008. Additional details about the opportunity appear below.
While the regular issues of the newsletter call for short articles of specific topics, this special issue is intended to provide students with a more open format for publishing articles on public health related topics of interest to them. This may include essays, opinion articles, event/activity information, student perspectives, articles about your own student work, activism or research, etc. The word limit for submissions to this issue is 700 words.
You may also submit the types of submissions normally called for: pieces related to student/campus news, tips and announcements.
Please include the following information in your submission:
• Your name
• Your APHA membership ID#
• Your institution's information (name of institution, program, and year in program)
• Title of article
And follow these guidelines:
• Arial 12-point font
• 700 words or less
• Provide references if appropriate
*NOTE: Submissions that do not follow these guidelines or are missing information will not be considered*
Send your articles to newsletter@aphastudents.org and e-mail us if you have any questions.
Articles are due Friday, June 6th.
