Update: Magazine Fraud on Campus - Person of Interest

Public Safety is asking the PSU community to be on the lookout for a 32 year old, white, male, who has been preying on students under the guise of being a magazine subscription salesman. The suspect, who goes by the name Nickolas, approaches female students and tells them variations of a story about how he is selling magazine subscriptions through Z100 radio in order to win a trip. Nickolas is thin, about 6’2” tall, brown hair, has been seen wearing a stocking cap, and has tattoos on both wrists.

We are asking for anyone who has bought a magazine subscription from this magazine "salesman", on or around campus, to come forward and contact CPSO at 503-725-4407.

If you are contacted by, or observe Nickolas, please politely decline his “sales” pitch and call Campus Public Safety at 503-725-4404.

Recently there have been several complaints from students regarding a man selling magazine subscriptions for cash on campus and in the South Park Blocks. The magazine seller reports to be involved in a contest to win a trip to London. CPSO has reason to believe that the sales are a fraud.
 
The white male is approximately 6'1'', thin build, with brown hair often seen wearing a red Ralph Lauren stocking cap, light colored jacket and blue jeans.
 
If you have bought a magazine subscription from a person matching this description on or around campus recently CPSO would like to speak with you.
