Timothy Webster, the suspect in the sexual abuse that occurred on February 25, 2013 near the Engineering Building on the Portland State University Campus is in custody.

UPDATE ON 03/06/13:

This Public Safety Office Timely Warning is to update the PSU Campus regarding the female student subjected to offensive touching that occurred on Monday, February 25, 2013 at 12:50 PM on the North side of the Engineering Building located at 1930 SW Fourth Avenue. The below listed subject has been identified as the suspect in this incident and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.  If located please call either the Campus Public Safety Office at 503-725-4404 or the local police.

02/25/13 - This Timely Warning is to advise you that the PSU Campus Public Safety Office is investigating a female student subjected to offensive touching that occurred on Monday, February 25, 2013 at 12:50 PM on the North side of the Engineering Building located at 1930 SW Fourth Avenue. The Campus Public Safety Office received a report from the victim reporting that on Monday, February 25, 2013 at 12:50 PM, she was restrained by the suspect while he made sexually suggestive comments and rubbed against her.

During this encounter the victim was able to provide a description of the suspect: white male, late twenties, approximately 6' with a stocky build, and a scruffy beard. He was wearing a gray stocking cap with tassels, a blue rain jacket, and a green bandana.

Accordingly, please be vigilant and aware of your surroundings on and off campus and call 911 or the Campus Public Safety Office at 503-725-4404 if you observe suspicious behavior or if you have any concerns about your personal safety.
