FAQ: I am a Blumel Hall Resident. Do I need to establish an account with PGE to pay for my electricity?

All Blumel Hall residents are responsible for establishing an account with Portland General Electric (PGE). You can contact PGE at www.portlandgeneral.com or call 503-228-6322/ Toll Free 800-542-8818 to establish an account. Once you have established an account, your monthly electricity bill will be delivered directly to your mailbox. Please write your name on the interior of your mailbox to ensure proper mail distribution. You are also responsible for canceling your PGE account when you check-out of your West Hall unit. Notify PGE at least one week before your check-out date.

Beginning Wednesday, 11/21/07, a $30 administrative processing fee is charged to your account every time the University Housing Office processes your electricity bill. To avoid this fee simply establish an account with PGE. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.

Beginning September 20, 2008, the cost of electricity will be included in your housing rate every term and you will not need to establish an account with PGE.
