Citywide Disaster Preparedness Plan

To the PSU Community,

Next week, starting October 15th, Portland Office of Emergency Management will be conducting a citywide disaster exercise. This exercise will have participants from the state, counties, and federal levels.

Portland State University Office of Emergency Management (O.E.M.) will be taking an observational role and will not be an active participant. OEM will be operating during the citywide exercise on a university level. All city, media, or other persons contacting you with any questions about TOPOFF please refer them to OEM (503-725-4440).

OEM may contact you with “what if” scenarios, to maintain PSU alertness.

Please read the attachments, as it clarifies the position that PSU and OEM is taking on this citywide exercise. We ask that any department or any employee of Portland State to defer all inquires/tests to OEM at (503-725-4440).

Please let anyone who may be potentially contacted by the City, County, State or Federal emergency management know to refer or notify OEM.
