Jason Evjen, Graduate Student, MPA
Jason was born in Kuwait, and raised in the Persian Gulf until 13 years of age, also living in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. After a few years in Oregon, Jason spent his last two years of high school in at boarding school in Switzerland where he graduated from Leysin American School. His experiences living around the world, and his interest in Middle Eastern politics, led him to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Oregon. One of Jason’s areas of special interest is analyzing the U.S’s role in the Middle East and North Africa.Currently, Jason is pursuing his MPA with a specialization in Global Leadership. He is interested in a career with the State Department as a Consular Officer in the Foreign Service, where he can use the skills sets acquired from his M.P.A. to tackle the wicked challenges facing Foreign Service Officers serving around the world. He speaks Persian.
