Financial Aid Resources
- The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is the only form necessary to start the financial aid process at Portland State. PSU's school code for financial aid purposes is 003216. http://www.pdx.edu/finaid/federal_loans
- The Financial Aid Office recommends that you file your FAFSA as soon as possible. It can take 3-4 months to receive an offer of financial aid. You can file the FAFSA online at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/. You can file your FAFSA before you apply for admission, and we highly recommend that you do so, as funds are distributed on a first-come, first served basis. You will receive an offer of aid after you are admitted and have sent in all information requested by the Financial Aid Office (tax forms, for example).

Executive MPA students are also eligible for the full range of grants and scholarship opportunities available to graduate students. Two years ago, the College of Urban & Public Affairs migrated to a University-wide scholarship program. Moving to the online program is beneficial for our students by making them eligible for multiple scholarships with one application. The new online system requires students to submit only one application to be included in all the general scholarship pools for which they are eligible. In order to be included in specific scholarship pools, students may need to submit an additional short essay addressing the specific criteria for that particular scholarship.
