Ecotrust Native American Scholarship

A Celebrated Opportunity

CPS is proud to help facilitate the Ecotrust Native American Scholarship for the 2012-2013 academic year.

Ecotrust is a Portland-based organization founded in 1991 by a group of committed individuals, led by Spencer Beebe, whose mission is to inspire fresh thinking that creates economic opportunity, social equity, and environmental well-being.

The Ecotrust Native American Scholarship Fund intends to support and promote the next generation of leaders with demonstrated commitment to American Indian, Alaskan Native, and First Nations communities by providing financial assistance to undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in programs including, but not limited to, undergraduate education, natural resources management, environmental law, public health, economic development, and social sciences.

Since 2001, Ecotrust has recognized 48 tribal leaders from Oregon, Washington, California, western Montana, Nevada, Idaho, Alaska, British Columbia, and the Yukon Territory who give back to their communities by working to improve their resource base, cultural base, economic security, or health and wellness.
