The Tutors have been hired by the Computer Science Department to help students in CS161 through CS311 with coursework, programming and the local computing environment. The Tutors are Computer Science students who have strong communication skills and a demonstrated mastery of the basic undergraduate Computer Science curriculum. The mission of this team is to provide a positive work environment for our peers by sharing our experience as undergraduate Computer Scientists.
TheCAT provides IT services for the Maseeh College of Engineering and Computer Science (Maseeh College).TheCAT currently supports and manages the computing and networking facilities of the College, a centrally administered but distributed network of Linux, Solaris and Windows systems that span many buildings on campus, providing systems administration and configuration, software installation, user account management and configuration and the normal crisis driven fire-fighting that accompanies this type of computing environment.
The University provides many resources including help with math and writing, general academic advising, health and counseling services, aid for students with disabilities, and others too numerous to mention. Check the University website for more information.
Student ACM Chapter
The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) is the world's largest educational and scientific computing society. Its primary goal is to advance computing both as a science and a profession. With that goal in mind, the ACM Student Chapter facilitates communication and collaboration within the local computing community by organizing events throughout the year, including lectures and gaming nights.
