Virginia Butler and Sarah Sterling, Anthropology faculty, received a three-year collaborative research award totaling $495,000 from the National Science Foundation, Arctic Social Sciences Program for the study "Impacts of Abrupt Environmental Change on North Pacific Human Ecosystem Dynamics using High Resolution Zooarchaeological Records from Coastal Washington." They will be working with colleagues from University of Rhode Island and Western Washington University.
