Martin Siderius receives three Office of Naval Research grants for ocean noise studies
Martin Siderius, Electrical and Computer Engineering faculty, has been awarded three new grants by the Office of Naval Research: a one-year, $87,971 grant for "Cetacean Density Estimation from Novel Acoustic Datasets by Acoustic Propagation Modeling"; a two-year, $149,648 grant for "Ocean Ambient Noise Studies for Improved Sonar Processing"; and a two-year, $299,953 grant for "Ocean Ambient Noise Studies for Shallow and Deep Water Environments."
