What: Portland State University’s Helen Gordon Child Development Center (HGCDC) is hosting their fifth-annual auction to raise additional funds to sustain a quality educational program. The HGCDC provides care and education for over 200 children aged six months to six years, with a full-day kindergarten program offered. Directly affiliated with Portland State’s Graduate School of Education, the Center also serves as an academic laboratory resource welcoming participation by University faculty and students in the fields of early childhood education, child and family studies, psychology and related fields.

When: Thursday, April 27, 2006, 6 – 9 p.m.

Where: Tiffany Center, 1410 SW Morrison, Portland.

Cost: Tickets for the dinner and auction are $30. (The evening includes both a silent and live auction.) All proceeds support the Center’s arts education program, tuition scholarships for low-income families and professional development for teachers.
