Literacy Admissions

Admission to the Reading Endorsement Program is on a rolling term basis.

To apply to the Endorsement Program, two packets are required:

University Admissions Packet:

• University Application for Graduate Admission
• Enter the following codes in the boxes at the top of the form:
• Major = EDCI;  Endorsement Area = READ
• $50 admission fee
• One set of official transcripts from all institutions except PSU

If you are currently enrolled in a graduate program (MA/MS, MEd, EdD) at PSU, please do not submit an application packet to the Office of Admissions.  Instead, please submit a completed GO-19 Form with your application packet to the Graduate School of Education (below).

Department Admissions Packet:

• Up-to-date resume
• Photocopy of Oregon teaching license
• Official transcripts from all institutions (except PSU).  Unofficial transcripts from PSU. 
  • Undergraduate or graduate coursework in reading methods
• Three letters of recommendation sealed in original envelopes
• Essay (500 words or less) describing why you want a reading endorsement as well as your career goals and related educational experience.
• Curriculum and Instruction Departmental Application
