Support Students and Faculty in Chicano/Latino Studies
Giving to Chicano/Latino Studies
Thanks to our students, alumni, parents and friends, the Chicano/Latino Studies Program continues to exceed expectations. Your gift to Chicano/Latino Studies makes a substantial difference. From supporting our goals for the program, to helping promote events and develop projects throughout the community, your gift will provide priceless support for our students and faculty.
This year your gift will help us continue to grow while supporting student and faculty research, and allowing us to maintain excellence. With your gift you can help Chicano/Latino Studies continue to create distinctive and auspicious learning opportunities for students. Gifts to Chicano/Latino Studies enable us to invest in faculty development, events and workshops, and meet the greatest needs of our students.
We look forward to thanking you in person.
Thank you again for your generosity and support.
Support our Mural Painting Workshops:
Each Spring Term international muralist Hector H. Hernandez teaches a workshop course on Chicano & Mexican Mural Painting in order to promote civic engagement and involve students in the local community. Hector is seeking funding for supplies and other costs that volunteers, community members, and students may incur during the execution of these murals.
This summer Hector is teaching a special section of the mural painting course that involves executing a mural in Mexico City and Portland! The mural to be executed in Mexico City is funded in part by the National School of Art, "La Esmeralda", in Mexico and by PSU, yet the mural planned for Portland is still without funding.
Thank you for supporting Chicano/Latino Studies!
