Young Scholars Program

LINK is an academic-year scholarship program (not offered in the summer) for selected high school juniors and seniors to attend the University for part-time advanced study. Students submit applications by May 31 every year to start at PSU in the following Fall Quarter. Typically they will take sequential courses in mathematics, foreign languages, and the sciences. Continued participation in the program is contingent upon satisfactory completion of the first quarter. The program only accepts students who start Fall Quarter. Once accepted, LINK students meeting the Program’s expectations, do not have to apply again for succeeding quarters. As part-time, non-admit students, they are limited, as are all part-time PSU students, to 8 credit hours per quarter (most classes are 4 credits; sciences with a lab are 5 or 6 credits).
