Client: Lloyd EcoDistrict Project:
Materials Infrastructure Analysis
Duration: One year
From Spring 2013 to Spring 2014 CES completed a detailed assessment of the waste stream within the boundaries of the Lloyd EcoDistrict, a 400-acre area, providing a “waste meter” for 54 percent of the Lloyd’s waste shed. As part of the Materials Infrastructure Analysis, CES also worked to identify materials management practices that, under improved management scenarios, offer the potential to minimize costs, generate revenue, and reduce environmental impact. Innovative partnerships/models that address waste solutions at a district level, including the platform for a unique revenue-generating materials exchange, have also been developed. Next steps on how to operationalize the data from this initiative are currently underway.
