Multifamily Recycling
This project goals are to educate managers and tenants about recycling and assist in creating successful recycling programs, in order to comply with the City of Portland's ordinance requiring all complexes to offer recycling.

Event Recycling [more info]
This component of the Commercial Recycling Project targets all major (annually scheduled) permitted events at waterfront park, pioneer square, and the park blocks to encourage waste prevention, reduction and recycling. CES works with event organizers, contracted materials handlers, haulers to establish guidelines for recycling at Waterfront Park as well as design and produce recycling information packets for event coordinators. Staff also educates and informs event vendors and participants where applicable.

Single Family Weight Study [more info]
The 10th year of a longitudinal study of the City of Portland's residential curbside garbage set out weights. CES field staff collect over 20,000 household garbage set out weights during eight sampling periods over the two year study. This data is used in the City's residential rate-making process.
