Introduction to Web Development

HTML5 is predicted to be the dominant development environment for enterprise mobility. Don't fall behind, get certified now.

Web development is a broad term used for almost any activity involved in building a website. This can include web design, e-commerce and business development, web content development, client-side and server-side scripting, and even web server configuration. The web development certificate concerns itself with the non-design part of a website that the end-user or client sees, and uses client-side technologies like markup languages such as HTML, CSS, and client-side scripting languages like JavaScript.

The second course, HTML5 Media, will show you how to add HTML5 media elements to you your webpages, and how to provide custom tools for letting web visitors interact with your content.

The Introduction to Web Development certificate will be of interest to web designers who need to understand HTML, CSS and JavaScript to implement their graphical designs and to web developers who are building applications that interact with the client-side and require input from the end user.

There are two courses required for the certificate:

MP308 HTML5 & CSS3
MP311: HTML5 Mobile Design (available soon)
MP310 HTML5 Media Design

Certificates must be completed within three years
We require program completion within three years for good reason. Our courses and certificates are continuously updated to ensure that you learn the most up-to-date and relevant information. Courses completed outside of the three-year limit will need to be retaken for certificate completion.
