Organizational Development Instructor Profiles

  Larry Ferguson, MSW, is a senior consultant with Compass Consulting Group, an organization-development firm that partners with senior managers to identify and close gaps in employee performance and customer service. He has over 18 years of experience in management and leadership development with a focus on performance management and data-collection services. Mr. Ferguson has managed and participated in revamping three company performance-management systems, and he has worked with Legacy Health System, Microsoft, ADP, Brim Healthcare, Corillian, and Regence BlueCross/BlueShield. His MSW from Portland State University focused on group dynamics and interpersonal communications.
  Dave Moyle, MS, owner of Desired Results Consulting and Senior Consultant at Kates Kesler Organization Consulting, specializes in organization design, human resource capability, and leadership development. He has an MS in organizational behavior and over 30 years of industry experience. Mr. Moyle has extensive experience designing and implementing solutions to improve individual, team, and organization performance. He retired from Intel in 2011, where he worked with clients around the world from manufacturing to technology development to enterprise services. His consulting clients cross multiple industries and disciplines including healthcare, aerospace, semiconductors, insurance, supply chain, IT, and HR. Mr. Moyle also coaches racquetball for Southridge High School which won the 2013 girls national championship.
  Jean "Rand" Schenk, MS, specializes in organization development services that include organization assessments, change management, strategic planning, group facilitation, team and leadership development, and executive coaching. Over the past 20 years, he has worked in a variety of settings, including public education, outdoor recreation and education, and inpatient psychiatry. For nine years he served as a senior organizational-development consultant and coach at Intel. Prior to joining Intel, Mr. Schenk consulted at Duke University, where he led a large-scale change initiative, and Burroughs Wellcome. He holds two graduate degrees in the behavioral sciences from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
  Sarah Stebbins, PhD, has more than 20 years of experience developing and delivering training programs, having designed over 100 workshops and seminars, and facilitating teams. She is experienced in coaching executives and leaders with managing organizational change. She has held adjunct faculty positions with The University of Portland and Washington State University. Her current work includes strategic planning for a large county health department, leadership curriculum design and delivery for 150 community college managers, and developing and implementing change-management strategies for a large municipal commission. Dr. Stebbins is a senior-certified career coach for Lee Hecht Harrison, an international leadership-development firm.
  Dan Vetter, MS, is an independent consultant specializing in instructional design, training delivery, and human performance improvement. He is actively involved in the local training community and served as president for the Cascadia Chapter of ASTD. He has been the instructional designer of over 70 training programs during the last decade. Prior to moving to Portland, Mr. Vetter invested 12 years working in training and development, and continuous improvement at a Fortune 500 company in Omaha, Nebraska. He has taught college courses for the University of Nebraska, Drake University, and Portland State University.
