BV151 Effective Presentation Skills for Business Professionals
In this course you will learn how to communicate clearly and build your personal brand through effective business presentation skills. This hand-on workshop will give you a chance to learn in a supportive environment. You will be given multiple opportunities to practice what you have learned, and receive constructive feedback from the instructor and your peers. We will record presentations so you can watch yourself improve. You will come away from the course better able to communicate ideas and become a more polished business professional.
Instructor Profile: Brian McCarthy
Brian K. McCarthy, MBA, is a full-time faculty in the Portland State Graduate School of Business. He teaches marketing and managerial communication classes in the MBA program, advises the school of business on its marketing strategy and coaches students on achieving career success. Prior to teaching at Portland State, Brian was the general manager of a $120 million sales and marketing business unit at the Microsoft Corporation. While at Microsoft, Brian earned many accolades including Top Corporate Contributor and Top Manager Awards. Before joining Microsoft, Brian was a sales representative at IBM, where is was a proud member of the IBM 100% Club.
