Diving into digital marketing during its nascent stage, Lisa Peyton is today among the leaders in the field, particularly so in the Pacific Northwest. Based in Portland, Ore., she serves as an adjunct professor at Portland State University, teaching Introduction to Digital Strategies for the Digital Marketing Strategies certificate program offered through the university’s Professional Development Center. Lisa is an avid blogger and publisher, acting as Executive Editor for ThoroughlyModernMarketing.com, a non-profit publication she founded in 2009. She also regularly contributes content to Social Media Examiner and SocialFresh.com.
Her hands-on experience includes implementing successful digital strategies for Toyota, Integra Telecom, Intel, Power Rangers and Paul Frank. The quality and breadth of her work has been recognized with several SoMe social media awards.

 John Hartman

John has 18 years experience in digital and media strategies and development. He has run a number of successful agencies over the years working with fortune 500 clients to create digital and traditional media.
 In 2003 John joined the Digital Universe, helping to architect a web portal with the lofty goal of becoming “the definitive repository of human knowledge online." John became the conduit between the engineering group and NASA, Environmental Literacy Council, Earth 911, Cosmos Studios, The Jane Goodall Institute, M.I.T., Boston University, H.A.R.C. and a litany of other organizations and universities helping them integrate their data and designing tools to facilitate portal management. John went on to become the technology evangelist for the Digital Universe, traveling the country speaking at conferences on open-source and the platforms capabilities and contributors.
 In 2006 John founded I Have Robots (formerly Feedia) a Transmedia production company with a desire to create innovative and engaging content. "Transmedia (as defined by Henry Jenkins in his 2006 book Convergence Culture) is storytelling across multiple forms of media with each element making distinctive contributions to a viewer/user/player's understanding of the story world. By using different media formats, it attempts to create entry-points through which consumers can become immersed in a story world."
 He has been crafting strategies, envisioning stories and producing media content across these entry-points for clients that range from Fortune 500 companies to non-profits. He has used social media, video, animation, apps, interactive, virtual environments and more to extend his clients stories. He has a passion for technology and uses it to help his clients understand the shifting media landscape. Experimentation and research are engrained in his DNA. This mindset helps him to discover the next wave or understand what doesn't work in the modern marketing mix.

Kent Lewis

With a background in integrated marketing, Lewis left a public relations agency in 1996 to start his career in search engine marketing. Since then, he’s helped grow businesses by connecting his clients with their constituents via the Internet. In 2000, Lewis founded Anvil Media, Inc., a digital marketing agency specializing in search engine and social media marketing for Fortune 2000 companies. Under his leadership, Anvil has received recognition from Portland Business Journal and Inc. Magazine as a Fastest Growing and Most Philanthropic Company. In 2008, Lewis created Formic Media, a sister agency to Anvil, providing a similar set of digital marketing services to small businesses and strategic partners.

He’s co-founder of a variety of organizations, including career community pdxMindShare, eROI and SEMpdx, a Portland-area SEM professional trade association. As a long-time entrepreneur, Lewis is an investor and advisor to a host of emerging Portland-based companies, including ABCInvesting, Fulcrum Fitness, Journey Fitness, NeutralSpace and Tixie. Aaron Gray has 15 years' experience defining, measuring, and optimizing digital experiences. From Internet stores and branded experiences to SaaS products, Mr. Gray has been through the entire life cycle of digital experience management numerous times. Most recently, Aaron built the global user experience team at Thunderhead.com. Prior to that, he spent eight years at Webtrends and Coremetrics, and was chief experience architect at Tweak Interactive, an agency he founded. Mr. Gray has worked with large and small brands, including AT&T, Bank of America, HSBC, Kmart, SkyMall, and Castor and Pollux Natural Petworks.

Bryan Rhoads

Bryan Rhoads is a senior digital strategist for Intel focused on social and emerging media. He has led the Intel Digital Innovation Program responsible for driving online leadership opportunities between marketing and IT; he created the Intel Digital IQ digital marketing curriculum and is a member of the Intel Social Media Center of Excellence. At Intel, Mr. Rhoads led a four-year project with MIT that researched online trust and digital marketing strategies. He sits on the executive board of the Internet Strategy Forum, the Center for Consumer Research at St. Joseph’s University, and the marketing advisory track at Northeastern University.
