PSU President Wim Wiewel and Clackamas Community College (CCC) President Joanne Truesdell will sign a renewed co-admission agreement during a ceremony at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18, at CCC’s Niemeyer Center in Oregon City.
Since 1997, more than 500 students have benefitted from the co-admission agreement between the two institutions. The agreement creates a seamless pathway for students who start at CCC and plan to finish their bachelor’s degree at PSU. Students in the program complete one application and enjoy access to services and facilities at both schools. Financial aid and scholarship opportunities also are coordinated between the two schools.
While the co-admission agreement dates back to 1997, the new agreement will open the way for people who have completed a bachelor’s degree and are now returning to school to pursue a second degree in a new career field.
In addition to Portland State, CCC shares degree partnership programs with Oregon State University and Oregon Institute of Technology.
