Aleksandr Nikolaevich Kochetkov is a member of the faculty of the Department of English Language in the College of Interpreting and Translation of the Linguistics University of Nizhny Novgorod. After receiving his training at the same university, he served in the army for three years working as an interpreter before returning to teach at his home institution.
Holding a Ph. D. from Odessa State University, in 1996 Dr. Kochetkov received a Fulbright grant to study problems of literary translation at George Washington University in Washington, D. C. His scholarly interests include linguistics, translation, literature and culture. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, visiting museums, listening to music, going to plays and concerts, and meeting interesting people. He especially enjoys teaching hardworking, motivated students.
